THE PHILIPPINES

The Philippines, consisting of over 7500 islands and islets, is a southeastern Asian country that lies in the western Pacific Ocean. The rapidly growing and bustling Manila is its capital, but the nearby city of Quezon City is the Philippines' most populous city. The Philippines consists of three main islands; Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao. According to its geographical structure, the National Capital Region (Metro Manila) located on Luzon is the largest island. The second-largest island of the Philippines is located in Mindanao, in the southeast.

In 2018, we launched our first operation high in the gorgeous mountains of Candoni. Later the following year, we started operating in two other cities, Kabakalan and Himamaylan. We have since built very successful programs in those cities of operation. We started with the “Children’s Wellness Program” and the “Empowerment Program” to reach the most critical areas. Since 2019, we have focused our efforts on reaching the locals in those areas and plan on getting involved in other programs that would greatly benefit the community and its people. Many areas in the Philippines, continues to suffer from dengue, very poor diet, unhealthy sanitary conditions caused by inadequate water, poorly designed sewage systems and widespread poor dental hygiene. Therefore, our local programs are aimed at providing and improving the regional standard of living of the children, people, and community.

 NICARAGUA

Being the largest country in Central America, Nicaragua has come to be known also as the poorest and the second poorest in the Western Hemisphere. Studies have shown that it consists of widespread underemployment and poverty. The population is a mix of Spanish, the Rama, Mayagna, Miskitu, mestizo and other indigenous peoples. Most families live off subsistence farming or cash crops like coffee, mangoes, banana, watermelon, and tobacco.

House of Samaritans initially started its work in Nicaragua in 2019, building successful programs in Managua and Tipitapa. Since 2019, we have focused our efforts on reaching the locals in those areas and plan on getting involved in other programs that would greatly benefit the community and people. Nicaraguans continue to suffer from dengue, malaria, poor diet, and unhealthy sanitary conditions caused by inadequate water and poorly designed sewage systems. Therefore, our local programs are aimed at providing and improving the regional standard of living of the children, people, and community.

UGANDA

Uganda, is officially called the Republic of Uganda, is a landlocked country in East-Central Africa. Uganda takes its name from the Buganda kingdom, which encompasses a large portion of the south of the country, including the capital Kampala. It is bordered to the east by Kenya, to the north by South Sudan, to the west by the Democratic Republic of the Congo, to the south-west by Rwanda, and to the south by Tanzania. The southern part of the country includes a substantial portion of beautiful Lake Victoria, shared with Kenya and Tanzania. Uganda is in the African Great Lakes region. Uganda also lies within the Nile basin, and has a varied but generally a modified equatorial climate. Uganda is a popular country in East Africa widely known for its agricultural products such as cotton, tobacco, and tea. The landlocked nation encompasses several spectacular mountains, lakes, as well as savannas. It is home to a variety of wildlife including mammals, primates, and reptiles.

House of Samaritans, also started working in Uganda in 2019, building successful programs in Mbale and its surrounding areas. Since 2019, we have focused our efforts on reaching the locals in those areas and plan on getting involved in other programs that would greatly benefit the community and its people. Ugandans continue to suffer from vast cases of malaria, tuberculosis, respiratory tract infections, cholera and diarrhea, limited scholastic supplies, poor diet, and unhealthy sanitary conditions caused by inadequate water and poorly designed latrines and wells. Ugandans are open to collaborating with organizations like ours, which is why we're forging such a strong partnership to provide the minimum healthcare to rural Ugandans. Our local programs are aimed at providing and/or improving the regional standard of living of the children, people, and community.
